Communal vaccine debate continues

CDC

As our communal discourse about vaccines continues, I am in part relieved just to see people at least willing to talk somewhat openly about the taboo subject. To quote Jon Rappoport of Nomorefakenews.com, “Vaccines are the holy sacrament of the medical church; they are supposed to be left alone.”

My heart, on the other hand, feels constricted as I see that the majority of people will continue to lap at the CDC’s feeding trough, hungry for the continuum of their comforting assurances – Life is safe. You are safe. We will protect you. Those big scary conspiracy theorists can’t puncture your safety net as long as we’re around.

I digress.

Printed in the September 10th, 2014 edition of the Homer News, a concerned citizen writes:

“I was dismayed to read the fear mongering anti-vaccination opinion piece by Ashley Gregoire published in the Homer news recently. She asserts that there was a major Centers for Disease Control “coverup” that recently came out, but she was terribly short on facts. The “coverup” was instead a disagreement on statistical data analysis reporting from one team member on a paper that was published 10 years ago.”

Allow me to respond with a statement that is not my own.

“My name is William Thompson. I am a senior Scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where I have worked since 1998.

I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African-American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at an increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed.”

Dr. Thompson goes on to say that he still believes in the necessity of vaccines ect., but that the CDC has a responsibility to be straight forward about potential side effects.

I do not see this to be a report of disagreement among colleagues, barring the obvious fact that they probably disagree with Mr. Thompson’s recent decision to come clean. I see this as a clear admission of medical fraud.

It is also worth noting that two of Mr. Thompson’s aforementioned coauthors, Colleen Boyle and Frank DeStefano, hold positions as CDC research scientists under a conflict of interest as they are also high ranking CDC executives. This basically means they work the PR front for the CDC, making folks comfortable while simultaneously cooking data behind the scenes.

The concerned Homer citizen goes on to state that I fail to mention the 2010 retraction of Dr. Andrew Wakefield’s 1998 submission to the Lancet suggesting a connection between MMR and the development of autism. I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Wakefield as the pioneer of medical and scientific integrity that he is. You can learn more about his fascinating story, research and vindication herehttp://youtu.be/LgWkhWkd_vo .

Delving further into this letter, said citizen voices concern for her safety and for the collective immunity of our community. Herd immunity, as I have voiced before, is a mythological phenomenon. There is absolutely no credible scientific evidence to prove that herd immunity is anything beyond a scare tactic, and if we look at the numbers we can conclude it is an outrageous lie.

Children under 15 years of age make up only 20% of the American population, and when we consider the fact that vaccines induce immunity lasting 5 – 10 years in the instances where they are effective at all, we are looking at a population wherein 80% of people are unvaccinated.

herd-immunity-856

“Herd immunity is not a scare tactic made up by conspirators to devalue your individual freedoms. That is paranoia. Herd immunity works on a population-level basis and is fairly straightforward in it’s effectiveness – we have seen our collective immunity decrease as fear mongering like what we read from Mrs. Gregoire plays with the emotions of parents.”

No such collective immunity exists in scientific literature, nor do we observe it in everyday life. For example, every winter my children are exposed to every head cold and flu bug that flies around Homer, and in the uncommon instance they catch something it is generally very mild and short lived. This is because true immunity is dependent on personal responsibility in so far as one’s willingness to protect oneself through nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle and sanitation.

And I suppose, to this author, there is a fine line between the fear monger and the parent of a vaccine-injured child.

Or are the tales of vaccine-injured children another scary bedtime conspiracy story lacking in societal relevance?

All facts aside, the concern raised in this letter to the editor is legitimate and does not deserve harsh critique. In fact, no one individual, even within the medical community, is to blame for the spread of disinformation about vaccines; it is trust in a faulty system based on greed that is at the heart of discord between citizens on matters such as these.

It is not our collective immunity that should be called into question in Homer, AK. Our collective consciousness for the world and our neighbors beside us, however, is seemingly in trouble.

MMR scandal: Massive CDC Coverup

On August 24th, 2014 I learned about the breaking news regarding a major CDC coverup, perhaps the biggest and most devastating to come to light since the Tuskegee syphilis experiment conducted between 1932 and 1972.

Today, myself and other mothers speaking out against our nations preposterous and insidious childhood vaccination schedule are shaking our heads in amazement that we’ve lived to see the day the world is shown undeniable proof of harm from the CDC itself.

William Thompson, PhD and CDC researcher turned whistleblower, came forward at the beckoning of a guilty conscience to reveal that for over eleven years the CDC has gone to great lengths to cover up evidence proving a three hundred and forty percent risk increase for the development of autism among baby boys reviving the MMR vaccine on time, an increase which is apparently even higher for African-American boys.

This outrage, likely to be censored by the mainstream corporate media, comes as no surprise when we consider the higher rates of autism observed among boys of all races; rates which I believe are due to an undeveloped intestinal mucosa in boys under the age of five, and the more fragile physiology of baby boys in comparison to girls in general.

Four years ago test results showing that my fully vaccinated two-year old was suffering from heavy metal poisoning shattered my understanding of autism as a disease with no rhyme, reason or cause. Upon researching the symptoms of his condition I discovered that they were identical to that of autism, which begged the question, “Have American parents been duped for profit by the medical industry and the drug companies?”

Today I believe the answer to that question is a clear, “Yes, we have been had”.

Today it is my opinion that there is no excuse for what can only be called negligence on the part of the medical professionals with whom we entrust our children’s well-being, nor do I believe there is an excuse for the callous manner in which the aggrieved families of vaccine-induced autistic children have been ignored.

As citizens of a free nation we can NEVER afford to quit the fight for our freedom and our right to transparency in the medical community. While the common medical professional reports with confidence that vaccines no longer contain mercury, or only “trace amounts in thimerisol”, and that vaccines are to thank for the decline in infectious disease, facts and documented history accessible by the public indisputably state otherwise. While the very same professionals purport to have a vast knowledge base of vaccine ingredients and their side effects, the reality is that their education in regards to vaccines does not surpass administration and propaganda supplied to them by the very makers of the vaccines themselves.

I for one want to once again feel comfortable taking my children to the doctor’s office or hospital knowing full-well that we are in trusted and capable hands. Unfortunately, it is clear that the bottom line for the drug companies has been and will remain the dollar, and until I encounter a medical doctor or pediatrician who can acknowledge this for me, feelings of comfort will never be a part of any medical experiences on my part.

In light of this breaking news of high-ranking scandal, I think it is a fair question to ask our local medical staff, “What will YOUR bottom line be in regards to our children?”

Delicious Wild Alaskan Fish Head Soup

This is by far one of my favorite soups to make for our family, and boy is it as easy as it is healthy!

My Grandpa and I boiled all of our salmon heads from one of the men’s dip netting adventures last summer, strained off all of the excesses ( many cultures eat the eyes and cheeks, and while that is really nutritious, I would simply rather not! ) and jarred it all to put away in our freezer.

Now days when I want a quick, nutritious and hot meal, I de-thaw a couple of my jars in cold water/fridge and heat it back up. This is not only a traditional Alaskan meal, but a recognized protocol for the GAPS diet world wide. The fish head contains beautiful orange omega 3 fatty acids and other essential nutrients very important for healing a damaged gut. Consuming fish and bone stocks such as this one have been an enormous part of Austin’s healing journey with leaky gut syndrome.

As for those in the temperate regions, it is very important for us to move with the seasons in harmony in order to keep our health and energy, and we can best achieve this by taking advantage of what nature provides to do so.

Did you know that bone stocks are also an excellent source of calcium that is compatible with our body? Yes, the calcium, among the many important nutrients fish heads and bones contain, is able to be completely absorbed by your body ( unlike store-bought calcium supplements ), and is therefore a wonderful form of holistic and natural ‘dentistry’.

Next time you bring home your catch, don’t throw those heads away! Boil them instead and enjoy healthy digestion ( which means strong natural immune defenses ), a greater sense of balance and well being, and durable and cavity-free teeth 😀

Try this wholesome dish for your family; I promise you it will become a new family favorite!

Wild Alaskan Fish Head Soup ~

* Fish Heads

* 1 sliced onion

* Sliced celery

* 8 – 10 whole cloves of garlic

* optional – diced green onions

* 2 – 3 sliced yams

* sliced/diced tomatoes

* optional – 2 – 3 sliced sweet potatoes

* Sea Salt

* Braggs Organic Sprinkle Seasoning

1.) Bring fish heads to a boil ( if you have an outside boiler that is optimal as the boiling heads will exude a very fishy odor – not an indicator of how the resulting soup will taste ). Boil until completely cooked, so probably somewhere between 30 – 60 minutes depending on how many heads we are talking about.

2.) Strain everything well and pour resulting broth into mason jars; freeze everything but what you will use today.

3.) Combine broth, vegetables and desired seasonings; bring to a boil.

4.) Reduce heat and let simmer for 45 minutes or until vegetables are cooked.

5.) Serve, cool*, and enjoy!

Note – for those who are experiencing digestive difficulty or who are on a whole foods/restorative journey with your health, feel free to add a few spoonfuls of whole fat, plain yogurt to your dish ( wait until it’s cooled a bit as the probiotics will be killed in high heat ). This actually gives it a very tasty chowder-like feel, and will reinforce the healing power of the dish.

Enjoy your healthy living practices, and have fun with what nature has to offer in your in your region!

Peace!

Red salmon & food energetics

mail-15

My boys brought home some beautiful winter king salmon – to my my great excitement because it was a lifting day for me, yay 😀 – and WOW, the ways I could go on about the benefits of this fish. I have to emphasize to my AK friends how blessed we are to have the opportunity to eat this incredible dish so readily.

Red Salmon facts –

* The best muscle building food you can get your hands on, it trumps red meat ANY day.

* That red orange color is Omega 3 fatty acid – this is extremely important for overall but especially BRAIN health. You need Omega 3’s. Period.

* Fish intelligence

Ancient knowledge tells us that we take on the properties, both physical, vibrational and mental, of what we eat. Native Americans prized deer meat because of the stealth, demeanor and intelligence of the animal. Even in todays world where we are so consciously disconnected to our natural hunting and gathering senses, you can still see the subconscious mind working on our behalf to enable us in our daily endeavors.

For example, business men especially, and those in other such ‘cut-throat high pressure’ jobs, tend to be drawn towards eating beef because of the stubbornness/bullheadedness of cattle. Buisness men subconsciously know that they need such energies/qualities to succeed in their careers.

The more we learn about fish, the more we learn just how complex the communication methods are between fish and fish schools. There is still much to learn about these animals, but it is safe to say that they are extremely intelligent, and that when we eat fish we are not just benefiting from the Omega 3’s ( how amazing is nature, right? ), we’re taking on their energetic properties as well.

This is no coincidence, we see this phenomenon in nature consistently. The avocado is so beneficial for healthy uterine function, (it’s actually been recommended that pregnant women consume 2 -3 avocados per day ) and what do they look like? A womb. Right?

Tomatoes have lycopene ( which btw the old saying is that we must cook the tomato to get 5 x the lycopene, but new research shows that we can BLEND the tomato for 5 x the lycopene! YAY for raw foodies! But i digress… ) that is very beneficial for the heart, and what does it look like? A heart. It is said by raw foodies everywhere that tomato is not only good for the physical heart, but the heart energy we carry.

At the end of the day, some people are interested in food energetics, and some aren’t.

For those that are, here is my advice: It’s all about listening to your body. The world of nutritional advice can be so confusing, Right? A good healthy habit to practice – meditation.

Quiet your mind, forget what you’re told you should and shouldn’t eat, and listen to your body. Our minds can be tricked, and our minds can over think anything, but our bodies by design are never wrong!

Happy healthy eating all!
